The Working Principle Of Ring Die Pellet Mill
2019-06-18
After feeding and conditioning, the powder is fed through the feeder door into the pelleting chamber composed of the pressure roller and the ring die. Under the action of centrifugal force, the powder is uniformly fed into the two pressing areas in the ring mold by the feeding scraper (namely, the wedge space formed between the pressure roller and the ring die). Under the strong extrusion of the die, the powder is compacted into the die hole. Molding material from the die hole was columnar extrusion, by the cutter cut into the required length of particles.
In the pelletizing process, the powder can be divided into four zones according to the different states of the powder in the extrusion process, namely, the feeding zone, the compression zone, the extrusion zone and the forming zone.
1.Feeding zone: When the powder is entered into the pelleting chamber, it's the centrifugal force of the ring spin, which is attached to the inner circle of the ring.
2.Compression zone: As the rotations of the rings (driving) and the presses(passive), the powder is squeezed, the pressure builds, and the volume shrinks.
3.Extrusion zone: The powder is extruded to a certain extent and enters the die hole.
4.Forming zone: The material in the die hole continues to be subjected to the pressure of the material behind, and overcome the friction resistance of the die hole, extrusion from the outside of the die hole, forming a solid feed column.
